MARYLEBONE IONIC HAIR STRAIGHTENER

I want to come back with some extra details about the review I initially wrote. I have to admit that sometime, our perception and feedback come from a place of not studying and taking the time to understand the product. At a quick comparaison with my old GHD straightner, indeed, the Marylebone does not have the same slide on the hair and it gives you the impresion of pulling or scratching the hair. Giving it another chance, if you take the time to use it with patience, the slide is not so bad as I initially percived. Reading the technical details and assessing carefully the product, I understood in fact why it is this way. the small holes on the plates that alow the infrared light to get in touch with the hair, do not have an optimised chamfer to slide on the hair smoothly. The holes edges are quite sharp making the pass through the hair sharpelly and giving you the impresion that the hair is pulled or scrathed/ demaged, so need to be handled with care and patince to avoid that feeling and break I have seen at the first use.
On the other hand, the plates seems being from titanium with tourmaline insert (the product specification does not mention that so you have to guess - which is a negative aspect for company to not provide you such details - where is the transparency?). This is the latest and most recommanded technology for hair protection for those who look at their hair health however, or it is not well implemented, or it seems not having the same slide and feeling as the ceramic coated plates used by competitors. It is also important to consider that when you buy this straightner, you need to consider the hair type you have.
Another negative aspect from my side, the price versus the quality and safety considerred for customer are not balanced. the straightner does not come with a professional and quality heat-resistant carrying case and top holder for the money they charge so you cannot do your hair and leave if you are in rush but you need to wait for straightner to cool down before doing that. The carrying case they provide is really useless.
Also, it is NOK to not give you the possibility to return the product and ask for a refund once you opened it if you are not happy with. you can only return it if is not opened which for me is not in line with the customer care and needs.
Overall, the product is a good choice as functions and technology for those who looks at the heath of the hair and take the time with the product, however, it has a lot of big minuses versus the price they charge for it.
In the light of the above info and considering the purpose I bought it (looking for the safest and healtiest variant of straightner for my hair), I will change the 1 star in 3 because i also have to consider the positive aspects of it.

I bought a Marylborne hair straightner and I tested it at home however, I am not happy with because it pulls my hair. When i read the refund policy it does not allow me to refund the product. Also, the product looks cheap and is not what i expected.

Was introduced to amory by a lovely stylist, Ashish, and am sad I wasn't in a position to take advantage of the promotion. My thick frizzy hair still looks stunning even after a day in the rain. He mostly used the Marylebone ionic straighteners. Really impressed!
